Backyard Concept: Where Business Meets the Backcountry

How One Advocacy Firm is Powering New Hampshire's Outdoor Economy by Building Backcountry Trails.
A Forward-Thinking Advocacy Firm Focused on the Outdoor Recreation Space
Tyler Ray is the founder of Backyard Concept (BYC), an outdoor advocacy firm working at the intersection of recreation, conservation, and community impact. Through its work with businesses, outdoor organizations, non-profits, and individuals, Backyard Concept helps build a more inclusive community environment that celebrate the outdoors while protecting the landscapes that make those experiences possible.
The PK team sat down with Tyler to learn how Backyard Concept is expanding access to backcountry recreation, strengthening regional partnerships, and creating long-term stewardship models that benefit both people and place.
